Hatzios promoted to Associate Professor with Tenure

Stavroula Hatzios

Stavroula Hatzios, PhD, has been promoted to Associate Professor with Tenure in the Department of Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology at Yale University. Hatzios is also a member of the Yale Microbial Sciences Institute.

Hatzios received an undergraduate degree in chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a PhD in chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley. She also completed  postdoctoral training at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School. The Hatzios Lab uses chemical and biological tools to study enzymes and other proteins that shape host-microbe dynamics in gastrointestinal infections. Her scientific contributions have been recognized by a Bodossaki Distinguished Young Scientist Award, Sloan Research Fellowship, and appointment to the ACS Infectious Diseases Early Career Board, among other honors.
