Posters & E-Posters

Poster prizes will be awarded! A good scientific poster conveys a clear message and goals, follows specific design principles, and facilitates discussion.
Please see our guidelines below as well as Yale Poster Templates and #betterposter. Printed posters are typically 36” x 24” horizontal or vertical.
E-poster pdfs may also include a Page 2 for additional questions and details so that other MSI members can give you helpful feedback at the retreat. E-posters will only be used via CAS login during retreat activities.
Writing
- * Short title conveys scope and significance of the work
- One clear main message or question
- Meaningful section titles (rather than “Abstract”…)
- Plain language and limited text
* Please send final poster titles to Jennifer Aronson by 9/30/25.
Design
- “Entrance” to topic suits the audience
- Useful, impactful visuals
- White space with no content
- Content in logical sequence
Formatting
- Images use direct labelling (rather than legends)
- Visual hierarchy for relative significance
- Limited colors and fonts
- Consistent visual elements.
