Poster prizes will be awarded! A good academic poster conveys a clear message and goals, follows specific design principles, and facilitates discussion. Please see Yale Poster Templates and #betterposter and these helpful guidelines:
Writing
- * A short title that conveys the scope and significance of the work
- One clear main message or question
- Limited text and plain language
* Please send final poster titles to Jennifer Aronson by 9/30/25.
Design
- “Entrance” (introduction) box
- Multiple useful, impactful visuals
- White space with no content
- Clear organization
Formatting
- Hierarchy to show significance
- Limited colors and fonts
- Direct labelling in images
- Images, charts, and tables directly reflect the main message.
Bonus Points: Speaking
- Answer audience questions clearly
- Present poster content concisely
- Interact with audience.
